In 1967, the United Soccer Association gave the USA its first taste of professional soccer and Wolverhampton Wanderers were one of 12 teams transported to the States to kickstart the movement. Adama Traore is one of the most recognisable players in world football. The Wolves winger and Spanish international is infamous for his strength and speed, which make him one of the most unique players in world football. Also a practicing Muslim, Wolves TV were given access to follow Adama over the period of Ramadan, as he embraces his religious values by giving back to the community through various means. In Adama Traore: The Holy Month, the Spaniard helps out at the Good Shepherd food bank, dishing out meals to support people in Wolverhampton in food poverty, while also meeting children and teenagers with disabilities, and inspiring young refugees to follow their dreams. He speaks about his family's influence, Ramadan memories as a boy growing up in Barcelona before speaking at a multi-faith Iftar event hosted by Wolves at Molineux Stadium about why good deeds and conversations about faith are so important to him.

Finding soccer talent in the USA to join up with Wolves Academy 2023
Last summer Wolves embarked on an experiment to find undiscovered players, who may typically fall out of the system, who would get the opportunity to train with the Wolves under-21 squad during their US tour. With some players having to pay to play or access coaching, Wolves invited a group of players to the Golden Chance trial in Phoenix, Arizona to be able to scout en masse, footballers from a wide variety of backgrounds, who they typically wouldn't be able to pick up through traditional recruitment. In the second part of the trial, two of the most promising players were invited to be a part of our training camp to see how they matched up to the talent in a Premier League Academy. There will be further opportunities for players in America to get the Golden Chance, with talent spotted in Chicago and Arizona joining up with the Wolves squad in the upcoming TST tournament!
