Brasília. Vital is a Brazilian federal police deputy who leads a special investigation group that aims to capture the international drug trafficker Beque Batista. Three other officers make up the group: Dani, Rock and Lua. In parallel, Vital need to take care of Leila, his pregnant wife, and does everything so she does not participate in the violent world in which he lives.

Free adaptation of Romeo and Juliet translated to the harsh life in Favela da Maré, one of largest and most violent slums in Rio de Janeiro. Living in a slum divided between two rival gangs of drug traffickers, Analídia is the daughter of one of the gangs' leaders and Jonathan is a childhood friend of the other gang leader. Both study in a dance group situated exactly in the middle of the two territories, looking for solace in art.

In Justiça, Maria Ramos puts a camera where many Brazilians have never been – a criminal courtroom in Rio de Janeiro, following the daily routine of several characters. There are those that work there every day (public attorneys, judges, and prosecutors) and those that are merely passing through (the accused).
