Bosse works at an advertising agency while working on the novel of the century. At a burger restaurant he meets Lena, and before he knows it, she is pregnant. Bosse starts thinking that his life is all over, he won't get any more career opportunities, and never again will he have time for late night parties.
Scrutinizes the sexual morals and class ideology of its day through a series of encounters between pairs of characters, shown before or after a sexual encounter. A prostitute is cheated out of her money by a drug-dealer, in the next scene the dealer seduces a maid, who in turn is hit by the son of her employer, and so on, until an actress engages in a little hanky-panky with the count, who - and this is where the circle joins - in a final scene ends up at the prostitute's apartment.
After brothers Jonathan and Crusty pass away, they reunite in Nangijala, the land of eternal spring. Casting a long shadow over their world is the tyrant Tengil, ruler of the country Karmanjaka, where he’s building his new fortress up in the Ancient Mountains.
This historical drama is based on a play by Henrik Ibsen and set in the year 1528. The central figure in the low-keyed story is a Norwegian noblewoman who is seeking to bring independence to that country despite the involved political intrigues of the Swedes and Danes, who are using Norway as a pawn in their rivalries.
The year is 1872. After being to drunk the stooge Gustaf Karlsson hits his master. To avoid sentence he enlists to the army and get the name Rask. He meet his future wife and we then get to follow his life together with his wife and their children in the 19th century Småland (Sweden). Their subsistence features happiness, but also by horrible tragedies.
