Charles Graham Baker (July 16, 1883 – May 15, 1950) was an American screenwriter and director. He wrote for more than 170 films between 1915 and 1948. He and his father invented the game of Gin rummy in 1909.
He was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 16, 1883 to Elwood T. Baker and Leslie S. Barrows. By 1918 he was working as a "playwright" for the Vitagraph company in Brooklyn, New York City.
Baker died in Reseda, Los Angeles, California on May 15, 1950.

Suffice it to say that many vases are broken and pants ripped before she escapes out the window with the handsomest of the beaus.
