Souled Out 2000 took place on January 16, 2000 from the Firstar Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The originally scheduled card was heavily changed, due to the serious injuries of Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Hart, who was scheduled to wrestle Sid Vicious, suffered a severe concussion at Starrcade, which forced him to vacate the WCW World Heavyweight title, and eventually retire nine months later. Jarrett, who was scheduled to wrestle Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Theater series (Dungeon Rules, Bunkhouse, Caged Heat), suffered lingering headaches from Benoit's diving headbutt off the top of the steel cage on the January 10 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which forced him to vacate the WCW United States Heavyweight title. Benoit was instead moved to take Hart's place against Vicious and the Triple Threat Theater series was contested between Billy Kidman and three separate wrestlers.

Uncensored 2000 took place on March 19, 2000 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. There were 2 main events with Sid Vicious defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett and Hulk Hogan facing Ric Flair in a Yappapi Indian Strap match. Starrcade (2000) was the eighteenth annual Starrcade professional wrestling PPV event. It was the thirteenth and last Starrcade event produced by WCW. It took place on December 17, 2000 at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The main event was between Scott Steiner and Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. This show had a stacked lineup and the opening segment showed why and how the brand was so successful and that is they knew their audience and played each guy to his strengths. JT Smith cuts an Italian promo, BWO comes out like KISS, Sandman canes the hell out of all of them, Raven comes out with the Fullington family and suckers Sandman into a beating. As far as ring work, between all 7 of those guys, not a lot to crow about, but the crowd was rocking and rolling through each new moment as it come about. Usually I would cringe at any of these elements, but I found myself enjoying the "extreme" soap opera play out. Okay, the matches now:
