Little things in the everyday life of six different people: a pregnant woman who sets off with her daughter to give birth; her husband, who needs to take her to the maternity ward as soon as possible; a woman who is in conflict with the pregnant woman\’s husband regarding a parking dispute; her lover who wants a serious relationship; and a postman who wants this man\’s signature upon a registered letter. People always meet and their lives are interconnected, regardless of who or what they are.
Miha, a poet whom no one takes seriously, earns his living by writing cheap advertising slogans. This outsider poet of the new age gets commissioned to write an ode to the famous Slovene poet Preseren, for the occasion of the national celebration, due to the 200th anniversary of Preseren's birth. Who was Preseren, what did he drink and what sort of woman did he like? A comedy can begin.
L.V. Strocki is a traveling film projectionist in the best years. He is a representative of the first generation who watched partisan films, lived to see the invasion of the television and ended up among vampires. In the coastal region town he is preparing a film projection on the town square and a television team is making a documentary about this event. During the film projection about the heroines and heroes of an occupied town, a Heroine in a seductive outfit comes to see Strocki in his projection booth.

A satiric critique of the current social and political changes that are happening in Slovenia, in Europe and in the World aesthetically explored through (de)formation of landscapes and cityscapes. "Phony Sights" considers social and political issues and even science when searching for an answer to the questions: "Where are we?" and "Where are we going?"
Cene, the lead character of the comedy series, finds himself at the lowest point of his life. After his marriage hits the skids and he gets fired, he decides to leave the city for the country. He finds another job, decides to leave the past behind and make a new beginning for himself.
