A powerful drug cartel in Moscow wants to use American businessman Steve Nichols in a smuggling scheme and ensures his cooperation by kidnapping his daughter. So Nichols solicits the help of a former KGB agent.

The beginning of numerous comic misunderstandings and adventures in this film was a telegram about the visit of a beauty contest finalist to the city.

Is it possible to escape from fate if you live quietly and unnoticed, without causing harm to anyone? It turns out it's impossible. Thus, the arrival of a famous singer and a popular TV journalist entails fatal and unpredictable events.
