Sarah Adilah was born in Palu on 21st of July, 1998. Since young, she has loved reading, writing, painting, and photographing before she explore filmmaking autodidactically. She eventually found out that film is a medium to explore her knowledge and interests. Her first short fiction film at Senior High School titled "Cermin" (2015) had screened and received national awards. She decided to enter film school at Multimedia Nusantara University by schoolarship to learn more about films.
She actives directing short films on campus and non-campus. At 2018, her latest short fiction film titled "Sandy Sugar" selected for Short Corner at Festival De Cannes. And her short documentary film titled "A Step of Death" is nominated by Indonesian Film Festival as best short documentary category. 2019 is her third year at film school and "Boncengan" will be produced soon as her thesis fiction film. Also she produced a documentary about mitigation disaster in Palu titled "Living On The Top of Fault" and will be finished in year 2020.
