Mo jr.has lived a sheltered life until he is sent to work in Oakland for the summer. He quickly learns about streetlife, love and his family's sordid past. He also finds himself in the middle of a war for control of Oakland's criminal underworld.
Shomie comes back home after graduating from College. Shomie returns home to Oakland, California, to find out; his good friends from High School have all gone their different ways. Some for good and some for evil. Imani is instrumental in helping Shomie.
