Born and raised in Prince George's County, MD, Richard T. Fields discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age. After earning his B.S. in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, he decided to pursue his creative interests through American University's MFA in Film & Electronic Media program where he would be selected as commencement speaker for his graduating class.
Shortly after his graduation, Richard would go on to win the American Black Film Festival’s first ever “McDonald’s Lovin Video Competition,” for which his short film “Puppy Love,” would be featured online as a McDonald’s national ad campaign. Since then, his work has been featured both domestically and internationally. His lifestyle film, "Because, Love" was selected for Season 6 of Aspire TV's ABFF Independent Series alongside his timelapse film, "Prague: A Motion Timelapse", which was also featured throughout several European ad and tourism campaigns and has received over 40K views online. Richard continues to use his rare blend of creative and analytical thinking to develop projects with his team from the ground up. He currently freelance directs commercials and music videos while he continues development on his first feature film.
