A middle-aged salary man can’t find anyone to talk to. Everybody in his life avoids him, having their own troubles to deal with. Feeling all alone in the huge city one night, he sees a man holding a glowing stick and helping people crossing the railway. Might this man be willing to listen to him?
A workaholic with no time for anybody suddenly find himself trapped in his office. Leaving work one night, he quickly discovers that he can’t find the front door. His phone stops working, and eventually disappears. None of the other phones in the office work. As time goes on, he starts to hear things and realizes he’s not alone in a place from which there is no escape.
A rugged stranger, at a crossroads in his life, checks into an unassuming bed and breakfast hotel in a seaside town. Although initially disturbed by the peculiar mannerisms of its owner, the theatrical and mischievous Mr. Sands, he decides to spend the night. That night, a strange shape-shifting creature, known as The Manitou, creeps towards the strangers room, before transporting him to a parallel dimension.
The film follows Max, a troubled yet curious kid who daringly steals a book from a mystical, ancient shop. Upon eagerly reading it at home, he unwittingly unleashes The Tickle Monster, a sinister creature bent on causing chaotic havoc by tickling people...to death.
