Live action adaptation of Masakazu Katsura’s debut manga in commemoration of it's 40th anniversary.

A group of 23 former classmates of Nezu’s 6th grade class 2 gathered at their alma mater for a reunion and were involved in a major incident in which they were confined for three days and 13 people died. The one who confined them was Miki Yumizaki, a former classmate. Miki’s purpose was to test how much human “goodness” could be maintained in a life-threatening situation. Who will betray whom and who will kill whom? What actions will people take in the midst of a disordered situation? A middle-aged detective, Kurosaki Ryuji, who can work but is not popular with women, is depicted working hard to marry while solving the mysteries and incidents that come to the office.

Hiroshige Akihisa works for a karaoke company. When he is interviewed about the past 30 years of the Japanese music industry, he gets confused when he is asked about his high school student days. An incident that happened 29 years ago caused him to suppress his memories, which have now come back. On March 20, 1995, the Tokyo subway sarin attack took place. At that time, Akihisa was a high school student who got good grades and was well-mannered, but the Tokyo subway sarin attack led him to face the death of someone he knew and shook his world. Around that time, he was suddenly called out by his classmate Suzuki Shotaro, whom he wasn't very close to. Shotaro asked him if he wanted to live vacantly into his adulthood and then die. Would he be happy living that type of life? Akihisa then joined Shotaro’s group and hung out with them in Shibuya. One day, Shotaro is attacked by someone. Akihisa decides to take revenge on the attacker and begins to search for him.

Okuda Akane has been subjected to domestic violence and moral harassment by her husband, Okuda Daisuke. After experiencing a miscarriage due to domestic violence, Akane begins to reconsider her life and follow the instructions in a mysterious letter to punish her husband socially.

In Nakameguro, Tokyo. An unknown young actor, Eiichi Nishio learns some important things while he communes with his elder actors and actresses in Japanese pub named Fuji where an atmosphere of Shôwa period is still alive.

Tokyo-born Kururi Takuzo creates a sweet rice treat called dango at his family's traditional Japanese confectionery that has been there for decades. In his spare time the divorcee roams the city, observes and photographs its sights. He has time so he often stands, focuses and takes it all in. Then he sees a woman that he loved long ago.

The story is set in 2018, 25 years after the original manga's "Video Girl Ai" arc ("Video Girl Len" arc was set seven years after the first arc). Sho Moteuchi (Shuhei Nomura) is a high school student. After his parents divorced, he begins to live with his uncle. At school, he develops feelings for his classmate Nanami, but Nanami likes his friend Tomoaki. One day, he finds an old broken video cassette recorder at his uncle’s house. Sho repairs the video cassette recorder and suddenly a video of girl plays. The girl in the video introduces herself as Video Girl Ai. The girl then steps out of the video and lives with Sho for the next 3 months.

Hiroyuki is angered once Ten admits he cheated after the game. Will he come to understand Ten's "Way of Tenhou", where Ten willingly cheats and gets beat up in response for his friends? Will Ten unlock his true mahjong potential or cheat forever?

People who just died first visit the death office. There, the final destinations of the deceased, who died for various reasons including suicide, murder and disease, are decided. Shimura works at the death office.

The clinic’s director Miki Shoichiro opened the practice for VIPs who want to receive medical treatment in secret. Tsukumo tries to get accustomed to his new workplace but discovers another side to Miki Clinic. It will do everything possible to fulfil any request, based on the belief that if the anxieties and major concerns of patients are solved, their emotions will stablise and they can to focus on their treatment. Together with the other doctors of the clinic, Tsukumo takes on patients’ off-the-wall requests.

After being paralysed while on a case Detective Ichiro Onizuka returns to Shinjuku East to solve unsolved cases.
