A Taiwanese art student seeks to understand his sexuality while coping with the imminent departure of a man who is his both his teacher and close friend.

Timid Xiao Mu who’s often being bullied while his mother is not around because of her work. He always watches his Japanese monster movie alone, hoping that the silkworms he raises will emerge and become his favorite monster “Amola” with beautiful wings. However, Xiao Mu's expectations fail when his mother notices that what he really longs for is just pure companionship.

One day during the summer vacation before high school, Lil Fish skips the orientation and wants to hang out with his buddies. Still, to get the junior high diploma, all his friends are cleaning up the campus to remove their demerits. Only Lychee pals around with him in their fishing village, as they always do. Lil Fish thinks such kind of life will never change, but what happens that day makes him realize he and his friends have embarked on a different future.
