Leung Kam Fai studied economics, but filmmaking is his true calling. He first apprenticed under acclaimed director Cheung Chi Leung Jacob and later under Fruit Chan. His debut short film, The Captive and the Fugitive, tells the story of a couple who create a film that defies conventions. His latest work, Save My Soul, which portrays the transformation of a mute person due to loneliness, won the Jury Award at the Eye Catcher International Pitching Forum 2023 and has been selected for international film festivals. In 2024, he produced and co-wrote Ping Pong Heartbeats for his long-time collaborator Lau Chi-Fan Gigi.
