Melvin Damski (born July 21, 1946 in New York, New York) is an American director and producer of film and television.
Mel Damski (born in New York, New York) is an American film director and film producer. Damski has Northern European Jewish heritage, one of four children of German refugee parents. Damski grew up in Roslyn, Long Island, New York and attended Colgate University on a football scholarship. He was a reporter for Long Island Newsday before moving to Los Angeles to attend the AFI Conservatory in 1972.
Damski was the Producing-Director of Psych. In addition to his long directing career, including 29 movies and scores of episodes, he has taught film and television at NYU, USC and AFI. He is also President of Lyrique Wine Company, a small family owned winery.

The Wedding Bells is an American television comedy-drama that ran on Fox from March 7 to April 6, 2007. The series was greenlighted after the network became interested in a series centered on wedding planners. The network approached David E. Kelley to create the show, and he essentially remade a rejected pilot he created for ABC in 2004 entitled DeMarco Affairs which starred Selma Blair, Lindsay Sloane and Sabrina Lloyd as three sisters who inherit a wedding planner service. Though the show had a moderately strong premiere, it faded in the ratings and was cancelled after seven episodes had been produced and five episodes were aired.

It starred James Naughton, Graham Jarvis, Alley Mills, Steven Peterman, and boasted the first TV series roles for Philip Charles MacKenzie and George Wendt. It was set at Franklin High School in St. Louis, and aired as a part of CBS' Monday night comedy lineup.
