A vicious crime lord decides that he has had enough and much to the shock of his colleagues decides to give the business to his second in command and retire to Florida after marrying his moll. Unfortunately, he has no idea that she and the man are lovers.

It's a burlesque of a melodrama in which all the parts are taken by birds. There's lots to be offended by, given that it's a talking comedy, with lots of stereotyped voices, and so forth, and it's not too long before you get tired of the gimmick.

Only niece Marjorie, who has ridiculed one of his pet eccentricities, seems to be the object of any sentimental affection.

French General Birabeau has been sent to Morocco to root out and destroy the Riffs, a band of Arab rebels, who threaten the safety of the French outpost in the Moroccan desert. The film is a remake of a 1922 Associated First National silent film of the same name directed by Lambert Hillyer and starring Milton Sills. All copies of this film are now lost.
