In April 2017, a worldwide network of scientists linked eight telescopes around the globe to create the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT). American astrophysicist Sera Markoff, who lends her knowledge and voice to this film, was part of the select group of people who worked to capture the first-ever image of a black hole in 2019.
This marked not only a milestone in human collaboration but a scientific breakthrough that will bring us closer to studying the evolution of galaxies and life forms, and allow us to expand on the theory of relativity.
