Thirty-eight-year-old Dana Pastoria has finally saved enough money reading tarot cards and working as a deli cashier to leave The Big Easy, write her memoir, and try to get custody of her two beloved daughters. She quits her job to pursue her dreams but never manages to get out of town. Three years pass and Hurricane Katrina hits before anyone realizes that Pastoria is missing.
