Aboard the Archangel, the injured Athrun thinks back upon the path he has followed to this point. Even though he saw the pointlessness of war during the previous conflict, he rejoined ZAFT and fought alongside the Minerva crew in order to bring the new war to an end. Now that Athrun has realized the sinister intentions of Chairman Durandal, he has rejoined his old friends.
