Charlie Ross visits York Theatre Royal to learn about the history of pantomime, with local legend Berwick Kaler sharing stories from his 40 years as a panto dame and costume supervisor Pauline showing off some of the wardrobe’s most elaborate creations.

Natasha Raskin Sharp takes a trip to the seaside to find out about the mysterious origins of an underground grotto decorated with 4.6 million shells. Owner Sarah shares some of the grotto’s secrets which have been baffling historians for nearly 200 years.

With only one hour to find three items, which team will stay cool under pressure, and which will feel the heat of the competition?

Eric Knowles will be refereeing today’s fixture alongside experts Caroline Hawley and Danny Sebastian. This episode features the debut of the very first Bargain Hunt games, where antique experts go head to head to compete for the BH Sport Relief cup! Iwan Thomas also pays a visit to the Change Foundation, the charity that runs the London Futures project, which is supported by Sport Relief.
