Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric suffer a tragic loss after attempting forbidden alchemy to bring back their deceased mother. Edward loses a leg and an arm, while Alphonse's body is entirely taken. To save his brother, Edward binds Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Now, the brothers seek the Philosopher’s Stone to restore their bodies.
Edward becomes a State Alchemist, and they face threats from Scar, a vengeful warrior, and the Homunculi, mysterious enemies linked to the Philosopher's Stone. As the season unfolds, they uncover deeper mysteries about the Stone and the dark forces controlling it, while their journey tests their bond and moral beliefs.
