The nine contestants enter their Pods, meet Val, and start the experiment.

2. Bed of Nails
The contestants continue their first treatment and then do a brand new test. Finally they must lay on a bed of nails until they are told to get up or until they quit.

3. To Eat or Not to Eat
As the contestants finish the bed of nails treatment, someone has been elimated. They do a brand new test which is a puzzle in a horror movie, and start a new treatment. They must eat until they quit or until they throw up. Someone else is elimated.

4. Brainwashing
The contestants finish the eating treatment. They enter a brand new test, which Number 6 can not participate in and begin to start the next treatment. Number 6 leaves his Pod and is elimated from Solitary.

5. Head Spin / Tailspin
Val tests the concentration of the five remaining guests and challenges them to a turbulent test of equilibrium. Another person is elimated.

The final four guests are put into darkness, and confront their fears. The next treatment is a fiery experiment of pain.
