Mrs Tembe gets the letter she has been waiting for, but will it be good news? Elsewhere, Alia has a shocking confession to make, and a furious Shak is determined to do something about it. Karen is expecting to see a VPAS patient struggling after a major stroke but is shocked to discover she is coping well - maybe a bit too well.
243. The Whole Truth
Ayesha and Penny explore an unusual way to make work more fun but are caught in the act by Mrs Tembe. How will she react to it? Elsewhere, Ruhma breaks down after she discovers Alia's terrible secret. Al helps a patient deliver devastating news to his girlfriend. But their unorthodox way of telling her backfires in spectacular fashion.
244. Have Your Cake
It is Penny's last day and Al thinks a few party games are in order. Elsewhere, Tarks finds himself in grave danger when someone decides he should be punished properly for what he did to Alia. Valerie ignores Emma's advice and then learns the hard way that she can't always have her cake and eat it too.
245. Under Pressure
The Carter family are questioned individually about Heston's missing car and who put Tarks in hospital. By the end of it the police are no closer to the truth, but then Alia admits she has been lying. Ayesha's night out with a new friend ends with the police being called out - and someone gets arrested.
246. Wait and...
Rob and Addison question their new suspect. The suspect denies running Tarks over and claims to have an alibi but won't say who it is. Are they protecting someone? Meanwhile, tensions are also running high at the Carter house, and new accusations are made. Ruhma and Heston now wonder if Farah is actually guilty - maybe someone here did it after all.
247. ...You Shall Receive
Joe outwits Daniel and Zara. Elsewhere, Heston is arrested while his family look on in horror. Addison lists the evidence they have and it isn't looking too good for Heston at all. Back at home there are further shocks in store for Ruhma. Later, Heston does confess to something and Addison is now convinced they have the right man.
248. A Happy Medium
Mrs Tembe helps a grieving mother and daughter get to the bottom of a mystery key, with the help of a medium who seems to be doing more harm than good. Zara and Daniel come to blows about having more children, and as the real culprit of the hit-and-run becomes clear, Alia decides to take matters into her own hands.
249. Back Story
Sid helps a cuckolded husband with more than one pain in the back to deal with. Karen is worried about James, and Alia demands answers from Tarks. But Tarks has a few home truths of his own to offer as he tells Rob he is ready to reveal what really happened on the night of the hit-and-run.

Jimmi helps a blind girl see her study buddy's true colours. Karen tries to put her worries about James to bed, and Tariq makes a decision as the net closes in on Shak.

Al's fury over the sugary drinks ban on campus lands him in hot water, but with the help of student April they manage to come to a compromise. Heston puts his plans for the minor surgery unit in place. Ayesha works with Leo on a case but misses a vital piece of information that puts a child in danger.

Zara tries to persuade Sid to help run the minor surgery unit in her own unique way, and despite Leo and Ayesha's best efforts, Ruby's neglect has devastating consequences.

Emma is baffled when an old friend tells her he has travelled back in time to this moment for a very particular reason. Sid brings Heston's grand plans for the minor surgery unit down to earth, and Ayesha gets proactive in an attempt to lift her mood, but she feels a whole lot better after a visit from Leo.

When Ruhma is accused of incompetence in the delivery suite, she starts to suspect that all is not what it seems - but is she right? Leo takes Ayesha on a date with a difference, while emotions are running high for Daniel and Zara when something important comes up.

When a young carer is accused of murdering an elderly man, Rob and Emma try to seek the truth. But do they trust the carer or the local gossip who is known for making false allegations? Daniel gets hooked into an interview with a student and ends up going viral for all the wrong reasons. Karen's concern for James continues, and Ayesha finds herself drawn closer to Leo when she gets an insight into what his job means to him.

James tells Karen the heart-breaking story of what life was like for him on the streets. At the station Rob is tasked with finding a homeless man who has gone missing after being attacked while he slept.

Whilst on a VPAS visit, Mrs Tembe discovers the patient is no longer in need of help, but her son is. Karen and James take a step closer to getting a diagnosis, and Valerie helps Shak avoid his mum when he turns up at the campus with an embarrassing issue.

Al feels uncomfortable when he is dragged into a situation with a patient. Karen is keen to get things moving for James, while Zara pushes Emma towards a colleague.

What should have been a simple home visit lands Sid in the middle of a love triangle, causing chaos for him in the Minor Surgery Unit. Karen holds a protest for James, but has she taken it too far this time? Elsewhere, Zara makes a decision which surprises Daniel.

Valerie gets held up at a cafe when a teenage girl's attempt to stand up for herself takes a dangerous turn. Karen faces the consequences of her protest for James. Over dinner Emma and Jimmi wonder if the attraction is still there between them.

Heston takes on an overprotective mother and brings two young people together with the help of some Verdi concert tickets. Emma is intrigued when a local businessman invites her for a drink. Elsewhere, Jimmi struggles to dampen Valerie's enthusiasm and Ayesha finds herself in hot water with Leo.

Mrs Tembe faces a difficult decision when she meets a war veteran being deceived by his daughter and a charity volunteer. James has a job opportunity, but will he be able to hold his nerve? Elsewhere, Zara and Valerie are both determined to do whatever it takes to win.

Al and Daniel play Cupid with two friends who are concealing their romantic feelings for each other, but will their efforts pay off? Sid has to deal with some sick children who have been exposed to a dangerous chemical. Zara's attempt at bribery proves to be a poisoned chalice.

Rob thinks he knows who is responsible for some children being poisoned. Sid is at the hospital with the two children who are seriously ill.

Heston helps an unfaithful husband try to win back his wife with a vasectomy, but is it too little too late? Daniel buys Joe a present that ends up being fun for all the family, and Ruhma makes an error that puts a baby at risk.

Jimmi promises a Syrian refugee girl that he will find her sister, but his desire to overstep the mark lands him in hot water. Karen nurses Rob through his 'man flu', and Heston manages to cheer Ruhma up with a trip to a camping shop, just not in the way he was hoping.
